Zip McCall Adventures is committed to your safety. Through rigorous engineered designs and time tested practices, EBL built locations have seen millions of successful zip experiences. With our extensive industry experience, we offer safer tours and worry free experiences. Our tour is regularly inspected and our staff is trained with your safety as our top priority.

LIFE LINE: One Cable or Two?

Zip McCall Adventures uses a single 1/2 inch aviation grade steel cable, rated to 26,600 pounds. Engineered and maintained, single cable zip lines can provide up to 50,000 cycles. EBL locations prefer single zip line cable installed designs. By using a half inch cable, we gain more strength and longevity than that of a double cable system using a thinner cable. So our "system" is engineered by professional engineers to 26,600 pounds. Our single cable systems have the added benefits of a more consistent operational zip corridor, NO required hand braking by the guests, and less clutter of equipment on the cables. Due to the additional clutter and guests having to hand brake themselves for speed, in some cases double cables systems have caused problems.

You may find it interesting to know that we have installed over 50 projects, some internationally, and have had no problems with breaking cables or dropped guests.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Zip McCall Adventures parent company of EBL Zip Lines, has been purposeful with tour designs and selection of harness systems, including your safety lanyards, helmet, pulley, and the training curriculum that the guides receive. Our methods have been proven sound by experience, destructive testing, and installed with professional plans reviewed by a proper Idaho licensed Professional & Structural Engineer. When you participate on an EBL tour, thousands of behind the scenes development and experience has been devoted to keeping your experience safe. We are committed to safer operations and continually work within the adventure industry to bring new technologies online to enhance your experiences. Here is an example of our high pulley quality; 19,000 pounds rated with a redundant back-up carabiner over the cable itself. We prefer bolted and stainless steel pulleys rather than 5,000 pound aluminum pulleys held together with rivets. You be the judge.

In addition to your safety, we are committed to being "green" by implementing minimum-impact practices from construction site pathways, geographical considerations for pathways such as erosion and ground compaction, to Arborist approved tree trimming and construction designs of our engineered platforms. When you are standing on a platform, 100 feet off the ground, you want to know the craftsmanship is top notch. If it is an EBL course, it is.

Next time you research a canopy tour for your vacation, ask if it is an EBL tour. This is your assurance of a quality tour experience.
